AirStash media preview mode on the iPad features a side-by-side display that’s perfect for mixed media, such as The Chemical Brothers - Further visual experience and album.
Since announcing AirStash at CES 2010, we’ve been overwhelmed by the great response and demand we’ve received. We’d like to give our customers an update on the AirStash software. If you’re looking at getting an iPhone 4 or upgrading an existing device to the iOS 4.0 software, you’ll be glad to know that AirStash already works with the new operating system. We’ve been hard at work on the next version of the AirStash software. Here’s a sneak preview at the features of the upcoming release.
iPad users will notice the new split-screen media interface right away. As shown in the screenshot above, tapping a video file will now load the video next to the file list. If you’d like to view the file in full-screen mode, simply tap the expand arrows, and tap them again to return to the file list. The split-screen media interface also works with audio files. Playlist functionality is now supported on the iPad as well.
For all Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad) we’re adding a slick new photo-browsing interface. Simply tap on a file to view it in split screen on the iPad, and in full screen on the iPhone and iPod touch. Of course iPad users can tap a button to view their photos in full screen as well. Simply tap on the left or right side of the image to go to the previous or next photo in the directory. It’s perfect for showing off your photos!
We’re also improving media playback in the new release. Media will take less time to buffer and seeking within a media track will work better. Transferring files to and from the SD card via USB is improved as well.
These new features will be delivered in an AirStash software update in early July and will, of course, be available to all customers for free. Follow our news page, Twitter, or Facebook to be notified when the new release is available!
